Fund Raising Program, and Fundraising Tips
information: Tickets were $3 per person, and we'd have people lined up all morning long.
See if there are ways you can utilize volunteers - to provide program services,
participate on a board, coordinate fundraising events, develop a marketing or pr strategy,
or keep your books. There are hundreds of books and thousands of workshops that
fundraising professionals can use to learn how to tweak that last 0. During the program,
take the opportunity to thank donors, to introduce new staff and board members, and to
discuss exciting plans for next year.
It's easy to set your organization up. Get to know the donor before
asking for money get to know potential donors through special events, receptions,
openings, opportunities to meet guest artists, advisory committees, memberships, etc. An
amazing amount of garbage can be collected from a local stream or illegal dumping area, so
it's not a bad idea to also put a maximum limit on a pledgeamount of say, $20. With many
campaigns, however, this is not the case.
If anyone was promised something, it should be sent right away. We talk
a lot in fundraising about building relationships. Best-seller prizes: Offer a prize to
the individual that raise the most money. These lay leaders of the congregation are the
key to longterm support for your organization.
Campus events tend to be the "tried and true" car wash, yard
sale, fundraising meal, etc. Have volunteers carry a small notebook or index cards in
their pockets.
About
School Fund Raising Program 01% Response rate out of a direct
mail piece or, at the very least, to build their confidence with major donors. January is
a very good month for direct mail and the earlier your mail lands, the better your
response will be. Too much information could alienate a potentially good donor. Even if
they see no direct benefit from your work, these people appreciate what you do from a
distance.
People who give money are not denying themselves food or shoes for their children;
these people are dedicated givers, and your group's job is to become one of those they
give to. Within most congregations there are a number of groups that are involved with the
mission, outreach, and community service work. When people are recruited to ask for money,
they must reflect on what they like about giving, not on what they hate about asking. |
